Carl Thompson
Carl brings nearly thirty years of strategic marketing experience on brands and clients across a diverse array of business verticals including; restaurant, retail, CPG, finance, real estate and automotive. His areas of expertise include marketing strategy, brand planning, new product development and market research. Clients are especially appreciative of his ability to work swiftly and deliver real go-to-market strategies supported by the best available data and his own personal experience.
Prior to joining EquiBrand as a contract professional, Carl was a partner at the award-winning LOOMIS Agency where he was the lead on the agency’s strategic and brand planning practice. Over his career he has gathered a wealth of knowledge and practical marketing experience from his duties in various leadership roles in corporate marketing departments and agencies. He is currently an adjunct professor of marketing at Southern Methodist University and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Gaylord School of Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma.
Carl received his BA in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communication from Northwestern University.
